Cantek Batur writes songs that live between confession and cinema.
Based in Toronto, the singer, songwriter, and producer builds atmospheric rock music around memory, longing, and the strange beauty of emotional contradictions. His songs often begin in ordinary moments — a city, a face, a silence, a place remembered — then expand into something larger, where love, doubt, escape, and self-discovery collide.
After Snowbird and Ghost Stories, Cantek's upcoming album Inside Out turns the lens inward. It is a record about pride softening, illusions breaking, and the slow work of becoming honest with yourself. Cinematic, melodic, and emotionally direct, Inside Out is his most intimate chapter yet.
